Enterprise-Quality, Affordable Idea Management Software
What does "User Account" mean?
"User Account" refers to an individual user (such as an employee or a customer) who can login to your idea site. Each edition of IdeaGlow comes with a default limit.
Do you need more user accounts than the default limit? You can add them to your idea site for a very affordable price! Contact us to learn more
What are Categories?
"Categories" enable you to group and organize the ideas in your idea site. This makes it easier for your users to navigate and participate in the idea site.
For example - you can group your ideas by products, departments, or other groups that make the most sense for your organization.
What is a "Public" vs. a "Private" idea site?
You can set up your idea site as a "Public" or "Private" idea site.
Public Idea Site:
Anyone who visits your idea site can browse ideas, votes, and comments. If the visitor wants to create an idea, add a comment, or vote on an idea, they will be prompted to login before being allowed to do so.
Private Idea Site:
Everyone who visits your idea site is presented with the message: "Hi There! This is a private idea site. Please click the login link above to access the site." If a visitor wants to browse the site, create an idea, add a comment, or vote on an idea, they must login before being allowed to do so.
What do "Voting Styles" mean?
IdeaGlow offers 2 voting styles, as defined below.
Up/Down:
"Up/Down" voting style allows users to vote for (Thumbs Up), or against (Thumbs Down) each idea. Each time a user votes up an idea, 10 votes are added to the idea. Each time a user votes down an idea, 10 votes are subtracted from the idea.
Spend Votes:
"Spend Votes" voting style enables you to limit the number of votes each user gets. Because votes are limited, a user must prioritize which ideas he/she votes for, and has to consider how many votes to give to each idea.
What are Social Features?
IdeaGlow includes features based on best practices from social networking sites.
These features are carefully designed to keep your users engaged and increase their participation in your idea site.
As a result, this is a very important feature-set that contributes to the success of your idea management program.
What is an Idea Challenge?
An "Idea Challenge" is a time-limited campaign to solicit ideas focused on a specific problem or topic. Idea Challenges offer you 2 major benefits.
1. They create focus:
By targeting a specific problem/topic before generating ideas.
2. They create urgency:
By providing a short time-limit (usually 1-4 weeks) for users to submit ideas.
